El Fandango Dance was started in 1938 as part of the Spanish club in Huerfano High School. Over the years it became a well established dance group that traveled not only throughout Colorado but into Mexico as well. In the early 2000's they separated from the school district to become their own dance group now including elementary school children as well. Now the program is smaller but we are working with older dancers who travel to compete in dance competitions. We currently are partnered with Peakview Elementary for an after school program.
